Repair Your Skin’s Barrier To Treat Redness and Flushing

Repair Your Skin's Barrier To Treat Redness and Flushing: A healthy skin barrier prevents allergens and irritants from provoking rosacea symptoms.

A healthy skin barrier prevents water loss and allergens, irritants and chemicals from penetrating skin and causing many commonplace rosacea symptoms.

Disrupted skin barrier allows for the penetration of allergens, irritants and chemicals, provoking excessive free radical damage and worsening rosacea symptoms.

A disrupted skin barrier allows for problematic amounts of water to evaporate from skin, leading to dryness, and for irritants and allergens to penetrate the skin, provoking symptoms.

Dermatologists have found that rosacea patients who use barrier repair products (and not just moisturizers) for extended periods of time frequently regain a normal flush response.

Unlike moisturizers, which sit on the surface of the skin to prevent the evaporation of water, barrier repair products actively repair the skin, helping treat more fundamental causes of its tendency to be dry, irritated and reactive.

A moisturised skin barrier — skin is more hydrated, but still very vulnerable to allergens, irritants and general environmental factors which worsen rosacea.

A healthy, functional skin barrier does more than prevent water loss, it also shields the skin from allergens and irritants.

Frequently patients experience irritation from numerous sources, such as the climate (particularly if dry and cold) and cosmetics.

Many ingredients in skin care products are not intended to be substantially absorbed into the skin. However if the skin’s barrier is impaired they can affect the skin in untoward ways by reaching deeper into it than intended, producing redness, irritation, stinging, itching and prickling sensations.

If your skin’s barrier is extremely unhealthy, even water can be irritating.

Rather than trying endless moisturizers for your skin’s irritation you should make an effort to repair the fundamental deficiencies it has developed.

Vital Components of the Skin Barrier

Skin is made up of proteins protected by a mixture of oils comprising approximately 50% ceramides, 25%cholesterol and 15% fatty acids.

Changes to any of these components, either in quantity or quality, can lead to faulty skin barrier function.

Skin irritation from many sources, including the process of flushing, exposure to daylight, the hormonal influence of stress and inferior facial cleansers, are known to alter the properties of the skin barrier.

Consequences for Blood Vessel Reactivity

Skin irritation is accompanied by an increase in blood flow, which in rosacea quickly becomes pathological and leads to persistent redness and visible capillaries.

By improving the skin barrier the likelihood of skin irritation is decreased and so follows less of the blood vessel reactivity which leads to harmful episodes of flushing.

Ingredients Which Harm/Degrade The Skin Barrier

Skin care products for acne and aging skin concerns are replete with ingredients which (either in small quantities or if misused) can abuse the skin’s barrier.

Prime examples are alcohol, benzoyl peroxide, essential oils and several exfoliating acids such as glycolic acid.

Alkaline products, particularly soaps but also many cleansers and some moisturizers, inhibit activities in the skin which produce natural ceramides.

Sulfates, such as sodium laureth sulphate, and other surfactants and detergents found in many cleansers, actively remove ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids from the skin.

While this may be passable for someone with very oily skin, all skin types and conditions, and particularly patients with rosacea, can benefit greatly by avoiding these ingredients.

Ingredients Which Repair The Skin Barrier

Repair Your Skin's Barrier To Treat Redness and Flushing: A healthy skin barrier prevents allergens and irritants from provoking rosacea symptoms.

Combinations of ceramides, fatty acids, cholesterol, natural occlusives (such as grape seed and squalene) and humectants (such as glycerin, sodium hyaluronate/hyaluronic acid) in products such as Epiceram are effective at restoring healthy skin barrier function.

Beta glucan and centella asiatica help accelerate the restoration of the skin’s barrier by the above ingredients.

Beta Glucan

Occurring naturally in the skin, beta glucan modulates healing, strengthens the skin’s protective abilities and accelerates skin renewal.

Centella Asiatica

Centella asiatica (titrated extract) improves the skin’s tolerance while protecting against irritation.

Centella asiatica also stimulates collagen synthesis to help heal and re-densify weakened skin.

Testing Products for Irritancy In Rosacea Patients

The reaction of blood vessels in response to skin care products can be measured via laser doppler velocimetry(LDV) and photoplethysmography (PPG).

When synchronized with the pulse rate, these instruments measure changes in the skin’s vasculature.

They also help detect irritation which doesn’t produce immediate visible redness but which may be cumulatively harmful. This is known as sub-clinical inflammation.

Used in conjunction with other methods LDV and PPG help confirm the suitability of both the individual constituents and the final formulae of the Clinic’s products.

Summary of What To Do

First, avoid removing the essential components of the skin barrier by avoiding cleansers which are alkaline(those which have a pH above 7) or contain sulphates. For the most part this mandates avoiding soaps.

If possible, use a skin-supporting cleanser which contains ceramides to protect the skin during cleansing. TheRosacea Anti-Inflammatory Foaming Cleanser is an example of such a product.

Second, avoid exfoliating acids and drying treatments such as benzoyl peroxide, at least until your skin has recovered (this will take months and allow a year of barrier repair techniques to see a durable change in your skin’s reactivity and sensitivity).

Use effective, tested barrier repair products, such as Rosacea Treatment Fluid and Rosacea Treatment Creamwhich have demonstrated efficacy on rosacea patients.

Apply Rosacea Treatment Fluid or Cream more generously at night, taking time to massage gently until the point of complete absorption, for optimal and faster results.

A diet with a balanced intake of Omega 3 and 6 essential fatty acids also supports the development and maintenance of healthy skin barrier function.

Rosacea and Mirvaso Pros and Cons

Rosacea is a common condition characterized by transient or persistent central facial erythema, visible blood vessels, and often papules and pustules. Because the facial skin is the predominant site of involvement, many patients sense that rosacea alters their social and professional interactions, leading to problems on the job, in their marriage, or in meeting new people.

The expert committee stated that the diagnosis of rosacea requires the presence of one or more of the following primary features concentrated on the convex areas of the face: flushing (transient erythema), nontransient erythema, papules and pustules, and telangiectasia.

1. Erythematotelangiectatic type (ETR)
The flushing that rosacea patients experience is prolonged. Many people without rosacea experience evanescent flushing in response to embarrassment, exercise, or hot environments. The flushing of
rosacea, however, is not the evanescent several seconds to fewminutes of pinkness that is commonly experienced. Usually rosacea patients describe their flushing to last longer than 10 minutes. Such a prolonged vasomotor reaction may help in differentiating physiologic flushing from that seen in rosacea
patients. The central portion of the face is generally the site of the most intense color,9 but the redness
may also involve the peripheral portion of the face,

2. Papulopustular rosacea (PPR)
Patients with PPR (also known as classic rosacea, pink papular rosacea, and typologic center disease) present with a strikingly red central portion of the face but have persistent or episodic inflammation characterized by small papules that may be surmounted by pinpoint pustules. Edema may accompany such episodes but is frequently subtle in its expression. There is almost universal sparing of the periocular skin, which contrasts strikingly with the intense redness at adjacent sites. A history of flushing is often present; however, this symptom is usually milder than that experienced in patients with ETR. Irritation from external stimuli is also not as constant a feature; thus scaling and roughness are often absent. These patients are most often women in midlife.Telangiectases are often subtly present but may be obscured by the generally erythematous background.

3. Phymatous rosacea
The expert committee designated phymatous rosacea as one of the 4 rosacea subtypes.1 Phymata include marked skin thickening and irregular surface nodularities, and can occur on the nose (rhinophyma), chin (gnathophyma), forehead (metophyma), one or both ears (otophyma), and eyelids (blepharophyma). Four variants of rhinophyma (glandular, fibrous, fibroangiomatous,
actinic) can be recognized clinically and have distinct histopathologic features.

4. Ocular rosacea
Blepharitis and conjunctivitis are the most common findings in rosacea patients with ocular manifestations. Inflammation of the lids with recurrent chalazion and inflammation of the meibomian glands may be present. Interpalpebral conjunctival hyperemia, conjunctival telangiectases, and watery or dry, irritated eyes can occur. Burning or stinging, itching, light sensitivity, and a foreign body sensation are frequent symptoms in the patient with ocular rosacea. Keratitis, scleritis, iritis, and complications of such involvement are infrequent but can occur.

A not quite perfect World History

A not quite perfect World History – A World History that can make you laugh at, cry or laugh with tears depending on your age and knowledge

The following text gets sent around and if you wait long enough someone will send you a copy.

Supposedly this is a compilation (in chronological order) of errors made by students of a highschool(?) teacher in Minnesota. That seems a little far fetched to me, but decide for yourself:

A not quite perfect World History

One of the fringe benefits of being an English or History teacher is receiving the occasional jewel of a student blooper in an essay. I have pasted together the following “history” of the world from certifiably genuine student bloopers collected by teachers throughout the United States, from eigth grade through college level. Read carefully, and you will learn a lot.

The inhabitants of Egypt were called mummies. They lived in the Sarah Dessert and traveled by Camelot. The climate of the Sarah is such that the inhabitants have to live elsewhere, so certain areas of the dessert are cultivated by irritation. The Egyptians built the Pyramids in the shape of a huge triangular cube. The Pramids are a range of mountains between France and Spain.

The Bible is full of interesting caricatures. In the first book of the Bible, Guinesses, Adam and Eve were created from an apple tree. One of their children, Cain, asked “Am I my brother’s son?” God asked Abraham to sacrifice Issac on Mount Montezuma. Jacob, son of Issac, stole his brother’s birthmark. Jacob was a partiarch who brought up his twelve sons to be partiarchs, but they did not take to it. One of Jacob’s sons, Joseph, gave refuse to the Israelites.

Pharaoh forced the Hebrew slaves to make bread without straw. Moses led them to the Red Sea, where they made unleavened bread, which is bread made without any ingredients. Afterwards, Moses went up on Mount Cyanide to get the ten commandments. David was a Hebrew king skilled at playing the liar. He fougth with the Philatelists, a race of people who lived in Biblical times. Solomon, one of David’s sons, had 500 wives and 500 porcupines.

Without the Greeks, we wouldn’t have history. The Greeks invented three kinds of columns—Corinthian, Doric and Ironic. They also had myths. A myth is a female moth. One myth says that the mother of Achilles dipped him in the River Stynx until he became intolerable. Achilles appears in “The Illiad”, by Homer. Homer also wrote the “Oddity,” in which Penelope was the last hardship that Ulysses endured on his journey. Actually, Homer was not written by Homer but by another man of that name.

Socrates was a famous Greek teacher who went around giving people advice. They killed him. Socrates died from an overdose of wedlock.

In the Olympic Games, Greeks ran races, jumped, hurled the biscuits, and threw the java. The reward to the victor was a coral wreath. The government of Athen was democratic because the people took the law into their own hands. There were no wars in Greece, as the mountains were so high that they couldn’t climb over to see what their neighbors were doing. When they fought the Parisians, the Greeks were outnumbered because the Persians had more men .

Eventually, the Ramons conquered the Geeks. History call people Romans because they never stayed in one place for very long. At Roman banquets, the guests wore garlic in their hair. Julius Caesar extinguished himself on the battlefields of Gaul. The Ides of March killed him because they thought he was going to be made king. Nero was a cruel tyrany who would torture his poor subjects by playing the fiddle to them.

Then came the Middle Ages. King Alfred conquered the Dames, King Arthur lived in the Age of Shivery, King Harlod mustarded his troops before the Battle of Hastings, Joan of Arc was cannonized by George Bernard Shaw, and the victims of the Black Death grew boobs on their necks. Finally, the Magna Carta provided that no free man should be hanged twice for the same offense.

In midevil times most of the people were alliterate. The greatest writer of the time was Chaucer, who wrote many poems and verse and also wrote literature. Another tale tells of William Tell, who shot an arrow through an apple while standing on his son’s head.

The Renaissance was an age in which more individuals felt the value of their human being. Martin Luther was nailed to the church door at Wittenberg for selling papal indulgences. He died a horrible death, being excommunicated by a bull. It was the painter Donatello’s interest in the female nude that made him the father of the Renaissance. It was an age of great inventions and discoveries. Gutenberg invented the Bible. Sir Walter Raleigh is a historical figure because he invented cigarettes. Another important invention was the circulation of blood. Sir Francis Drake circumcised the world with a 100-foot clipper.

The government of England was a limited mockery. Henry VIII found walking difficult because he had an abbess on his knee. Queen Elizabeth was the “Virgin Queen.” As a queen she was a success. When Elizabeth exposed herself before her troops, they all shouted “hurrah.” Then her navy went out and defeated the Spanish Armadillo.

The greatest writer of the Renaissance was William Shakespear. Shakespear never made much money and is famous only because of his plays. He lived in Windsor with his merry wives, writing tragedies, comedies and errors. In one of Shakespear’s famous plays, Hamlet rations out his situation by relieving himself in a long soliloquy. In another, Lady Macbeth tries to convince Macbeth to kill the King by attacking his manhood. Romeo and Juliet are an example of a heroic couplet. Writing at the same time as Shakespear was Miquel Cervantes. He wrote “Donkey Hote”. The next great author was John Milton. Milton wrote “Paradise Lost.” Then his wife dies and he wrote “Paradise Regained.”

During the Renaissance America began. Christopher Columbus was a great navigator who discovered America while cursing about the Atlantic. His ships were called the Nina, the Pinta, and the Santa Fe. Later the Pilgrims crossed the Ocean, and the was called the Pilgrim’s Progress. When they landed at Plymouth Rock, they were greeted by Indians, who came down the hill rolling their was hoops before them. The Indian squabs carried porposies on their back. Many of the Indian heroes were killed, along with their cabooses, which proved very fatal to them. The winter of 1620 was a hard one for the settlers. Many people died and many babies were born. Captain John Smith was responsible for all this.

One of the causes of the Revolutionary Wars was the English put tacks in their tea. Also, the colonists would send their pacels through the post without stamps. During the War, Red Coats and Paul Revere was throwing balls over stone walls. The dogs were barking and the peacocks crowing. Finally, the colonists won the War and no longer had to pay for taxis.

Delegates from the original thirteen states formed the Contented Congress. Thomas Jefferson, a Virgin, and Benjamin Franklin were two singers of the Declaration of Independence. Franklin had gone to Boston carrying all his clothes in his pocket and a loaf of bread under each arm. He invented electricity by rubbing cats backwards and declared “a horse divided against itself cannot stand.” Franklin died in 1790 and is still dead.

George Washington married Matha Curtis and in due time became the Father of Our Country. Then the Constitution of the United States was adopted to secure domestic hostility. Under the Constitution the people enjoyed the right to keep bare arms.

Abraham Lincoln became America’s greatest Precedent. Lincoln’s mother died in infancy, and he was born in a log cabin which he built with his own hands. When Lincoln was President, he wore only a tall silk hat. He said, “In onion there is strength.” Abraham Lincoln write the Gettysburg address while traveling from Washington to Gettysburg on the back of an envelope. He also signed the Emasculation Proclamation, and the Fourteenth Amendment gave the ex-Negroes citizenship. But the Clue Clux Clan would torcher and lynch the ex-Negroes and other innocent victims. On the night of April 14, 1865, Lincoln went to the theater and got shot in his seat by one of the actors in a moving picture show. The believed assinator was John Wilkes Booth, a sopposedly insane actor. This ruined Booth’s career.

Meanwhile in Europe, the enlightenment was a reasonable time. Voltare invented electricity and also wrote a book called “Candy”. Gravity was invented by Issac Walton. It is chiefly noticeable in the Autumn, when the apples are falling off the trees.

Bach was the most famous composer in the world, and so was Handel. Handel was half German, half Italian and half English. He was very large. Bach died from 1750 to the present. Beethoven wrote music even though he was deaf. He was so deaf he wrote loud music. He took long walks in the forest even when everyone was calling for him. Beethoven expired in 1827 and later died for this.

France was in a very serious state. The French Revolution was accomplished before it happened. The Marseillaise was the theme song of the French Revolution, and it catapulted into Napoleon. During the Napoleonic Wars, the crowned heads of Europe were trembling in their shoes. Then the Spanish gorrilas came down from the hills and nipped at Napoleon’s flanks. Napoleon became ill with bladder problems and was very tense and unrestrained. He wanted an heir to inheret his power, but since Josephine was a baroness, she couldn’t bear him any children.

The sun never set on the British Empire because the British Empire is in the East and the sun sets in the West. Queen Victoria was the longest queen. She sat on a thorn for 63 years. He reclining years and finally the end of her life were exemplatory of a great personality. Her death was the final event which ended her reign.

The nineteenth century was a time of many great inventions and thoughts. The invention of the steamboat caused a network of rivers to spring up. Cyrus McCormick invented the McCormick Raper, which did the work of a hundred men. Samuel Morse invented a code for telepathy. Louis Pastuer discovered a cure for rabbis. Charles Darwin was a naturailst who wrote the “Organ of the Species”. Madman Curie discovered radium. And Karl Marx became one of the Marx Brothers.

The First World War, cause by the assignation of the ArchDuck by a surf, ushered in a new error in the anals of human history.

Why Zinc Should Be Taken Daily, and How Not All Zinc Supplements Are Created Equal Written by Sarah C. Corriher

Why Zinc Should Be Taken Daily, and How Not All Zinc Supplements Are Created Equal Written by Sarah C. Corriher

According to many pharmacists, zinc is the single greatest dietary supplement. Chemists, pharmacists and doctors alike glorify zinc supplementation. Some of them maintain that zinc will ward off all sickness. While this is not entirely true, zinc does nonetheless fight the rhinovirus, which is responsible for about a third of the common colds in adults, along with many other illnesses which exhibit flu-like symptoms. Zinc boosts the overall immune system to fight infections and speed recovery times. It is therefore a useful supplement for almost everyone. Deficiencies of zinc have been shown in studies to lead to decreased thyroid hormone levels, and hypothyroidism. Zinc supplementation is absolutely vital for pregnant women. If zinc was given to every mother-to-be, then a large portion of birth abnormalities, pre-eclampsia occurrences, and deformations could be avoided. Give zinc the same respect that you would give to folate (the superior version of folic acid) and calcium during pregnancy.Symptoms of Zinc Deficiency

  • White spots (cuticles) in the fingernails.
  • Pale, rough skin, dry hair, and acne
  • Unhealthy weight loss caused by loss of appetite
  • Dandruff
  • Slow wound healing occurs in particularly bad cases of zinc deficiency.

The primary ingredient in anti-dandruff shampoos is zinc. While there is nothing wrong with putting zinc in the hair, it would be much more prudent to simply supplement with it orally.

Not all Zinc is Created Equal

Zinc sulfate and zinc oxide are among the most popular types of zinc to be sold, but they are definitely not the best. The largest portion of these two zinc varieties simply flush out of the body without much cellular absorption. So these supplements may increase a body’s burden instead of lightening it. In the particular case of zinc oxide, it is a widely-known carcinogen in sunscreens. This is a dirty industry secret, and sunscreens are the main reason why sunlight has been falsely maligned to cause skin cancers. Especially avoid zinc oxide.

Chelated zinc is partially absorbed by the body. There are different types of chelation, but most zinc manufacturers do not inform customers which form they use. For companies which do, zinc gluconate, and zinc citrate are among the best forms of chelated zinc. Zinc orotate is a chelated form of zinc that is the more readily absorbed by the body than any other zinc supplement available. Manufacturers of it will usually boast about having this type, because they have good reason to. Zinc orotate passes through the membranes of cells easily, and pulls the highest amounts of accompanying minerals into the cells, which leads to higher tissue concentrations of zinc and other beneficial nutrients.

Excellent food sources of zinc include cashews, almonds, kidney beans, flounder, and eggs. Zinc is also present in oysters, pork and crab, but we do not recommend these latter items as food. See the article, God’s Nutrition: From The Big Guy Himself for more information about why one should avoid the latter group.

Zinc is one of the few supplements that the mainstream medical establishment will actually recommend. For some people, especially pregnant women, it is absolutely essential. We do not recommend zinc supplementation for vegetarians, because zinc will reduce their absorption of iron, and will increase their already elevated chance of developing anemia. However, the National Institutes of Health disagrees and suggests that vegetarians get 50% more zinc than non-vegetarians, because zinc is one of the many things that vegetarians tend to have a deficiency of. Never take zinc supplements on an empty stomach, or the zinc may cause severe nausea and stomach pains. In the very least, follow zinc supplementation with a large glass of water.

The Copper Connection

The human body needs copper to properly utilize zinc, so zinc supplementation will yield poor results during a time of copper deficiency. Unfortunately, it is unsafe to supplement with copper directly. It is far too easy to overdose and to cause serious liver problems with direct copper consumption. There are unscrupulous individuals who sell colloidal copper for internal consumption on the Internet, but we warn you to beware of such scoundrels. You will find them astroturfing Internet forums with miraculous stories, and stories are just what they are. The safe way to supplement with copper is to get it indirectly through chlorophyll supplements. Chlorophyll contains enough copper to make a huge difference, and it includes compounds that work with the copper for its best utilization. It is virtually impossible to get an overdose through chlorophyll, and it helps health in many other ways.

What is Zinc Ororate?

Zinc is an essential element and is required by all tissues and organs in the human body. It is directly involved with cellular metabolism, tissue growth, and enzyme activity. Zinc influences the release of hormones and the transmission of information along nerves. However, the body has no specialized zinc storage system and daily intake is required to maintain a steady state. There are a number of foods that contain zinc, including kidney beans, almonds, and cashews. Additionally, many rely on zinc supplements. Zinc orotate, used by Dr. Hans Nieper, is readily absorbed because it passes through cell membranes more easily than other forms of zinc.

A Brief History of the Invention of Zinc Orotate

Dr. Hans Nieper
Dr. Hans Nieper

Developed from the groundbreaking research of Dr. Hans Nieper!

Dr. Hans Nieper, a physician and experimenter, believed minerals in an orotate form pass through cell membranes easily without breaking apart and reach the areas where it’s needed most. The unique molecular structure of zinc ororate is able to penetrate tissue to act as a superior mineral transporter.

Zinc orotate was made popular as a supplement by Dr. Hans Nieper. The innovative German physician considered orotates to be superior to other anions as bioavailability enhancers for minerals like zinc. His belief was that neutrally charged orotate salts could easily pass through cell membranes, transporting mineral atoms into cells and cultivating higher tissue concentrations.

Research from Dr. Nieper has shown that zinc orotate, when compared to other forms of zinc, are more neutrally charged, a process that allows the zinc to pass seamlessly through the cell membrane. This allows the human body to receive the largest doses of zinc.

The Top 5 Reasons You Need Zinc Ororate

  1. Regulates cells within the human body.
Every cell in the human body has a headquarters, referred to as the nucleus. Each nucleus contains tens of thousands of genes that provide instructions for the way the cell behaves. Zinc is essential for reading genetic instructions. Zinc deficiency can lead to instructions being misinterpreted, or not interpreted at all.
  2. Supports normal blood sugar.
The pancreas produces a the hormone insulin; insulin is necessary to transport sugar from the bloodstream into cells. Without zinc, insulin response is reduced and unstable blood sugar may result.
  3. Supports the sense of smell and taste.
Impaired sense of taste and smell are common symptoms of zinc deficiency. Why? Because the sense of taste is reliant upon a protein call gustin, which requires zinc in order to perform its task.
  4. Immune system operation.
Many immune system cells require zinc to function normally. Zinc deficiency is known to affect white blood cell count and the subsequent immune response. Conversely, adequate zinc, through diet or supplementation, is known to promote normal immune response.
  5. Promotes normal metabolism.
Metabolism is the process in which the human body creates and uses energy, and it depends on zinc. Zinc deficiencies can cause metabolic rate to drop and it can affect the hormones produced by the thyroid gland, which is also necessary for normal metabolism.

What are the Benefits of Zinc Ororate?

  • Zinc supports the immune system.
  • Adequate zinc intake is absolutely essential for pregnant women.
  • Zinc supports vision and deficiency can affect the retina.
  • Promotes skeletal health.
  • Has been linked to a healthy mood and normal attention span.
  • Assists with protein synthesis, DNA synthesis, and cell division.
  • Potent antioxidant.
  • Promotes balanced testosterone levels.
  • Excellent for the liver.
  • Helps with normal brain function.

My Herbalix Restorative Lymph and Liver Detox Program

December 9, 2013

For the transparency of the Detox Program Mr. Mike Fessler and I agreed to publish the daily reports.

Working on the article.

It will be published as soon as the tiredness and the brain fog will give me a moment of peace.

February 6, 2014

Finally I can publish the  details of  my detox program from December 2013 .

Unfortunately for me,  I had to stop the detox programe owing to my neurological problems (my brain needs support for the low level of stress hormones)  and I could not do the entire program.  I had all the time  the invaluable support of Mr. Mike Fessler, the VP of Herbalix Restorative LLC.  I currently follow a six months neurological treatment at the end of which I hope to have the chance to do the detox entirely.

Here is my story:

There are situations in life when you start questioning anything from relations with the ones that are your friends and relatives to your own beliefs. I was always enjoyed reading and applying in everyday life the works of my mentors: Allain Pease, Dale Carnagie, Peter Drucker, Robert Kiyosaki, John C. Maxwell, Norman Vincent Peale.
Nowadays I started to think that none of their writings can apply when you are sick. It is so difficult to fight and keep under control something that destroys you as a human being that not even positive thinking can help you anymore. It is like you can no longer preach what you believe. It is so an overwhelming burden.
My first nightmare was in the ’90 when after treatments done for acne the skin of my face remained so sensitive that I was not able to go outside in the sunny days not even for 5 minutes. At the beginning of September 2009 the chronic fatigue(with non refreshing sleep and lack of energy throughout the day) hit me for the fist time.
Dermatological y I was diagnosed in Romania with seborrhea dermatitis and given products for Rosacea. Recently I found out that is neither seborrhea dermatitis nor Rosecea, and the condition of my face is abnormal photosensitivity(affecting terribly the eyes, skin of the face and the brain under the influence of UV and electroimagnetic radiation but also induced by medication like – enemies to the abnormal photosensitivity of the skin of my face(here are some enemies of my skin: vit A, Vit D2+D3, Fe, Iodine, Sulfur, vit B6 in excess, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, paracetamol, ibuprofen, sun-screens etc). Neurologists and psychiatrists in Romania will say that the dermatological problem is a cause of the chronic fatigue. In my humble opinion it is happening in both senses as the fatigue influences how you look and if the skin dehydrates, starts becoming red and accumulating energy in the blood vessels that is so disturbing that chemical reaction is sent to the brain and cause fatigue. So it is happening in both ways. A big problem is that the two disease require some antagonistic medication. An example is Omega 3 needed for the brain for chronic fatigue and depression and the fact that Omega 3 is found in oils that contains vitamin A and/or D that can be very detrimental to the skin of my face. So doctor please help my brain but dont burn and melt the skin of my face. Can you do it???

I wondered for a long period of time why I should do that. Why I should tell to people I dont know my fight and my medical problems. Will they understand me? I would like to cite this statement: (“Nobody can really put themselves into another’s shoes unless they’ve been there – not with the best will in the world” –
At the end of  September 2013 I started  to creat my blog on step by step learning alone how to do it and to post based on the level of my daily energy. Soon I discovered a world of people found in a similar situation(chronic fatigue – Phoenix Rising forum-, Action Me forum –;  abnormal photosensitivity – Marshall Protocol forum - or heartbreaking strories like the one of Fallon Mirsky( a lady that is forced by her medical situation to take something like 50 pills per days and stay for hours in a plastic-glass confined space. I really admire her strength and power to fight everyday with her medical situation. It is so unreal that you can hardly believe that people come on this planet to fight everyday with such situations.
My blog was the one that open the door to communication between Mr. Fessler, the Vice-president and Director of Research for Herbalix Restorative(, and me.
Mr. Fessler advised me that I should consider a liver and lymph detox and that should help me my liver to function better and my brain to be less affected by chronic fatigue. I had his permanent support and I thank him for that.
At the end of November 2013 we started the detox program. The detox for the liver is done with castor oil and also I was advised to have Epson Salt baths( the procedure is described here
My lymph detox is done with a night detox deodorant having the following ingredients:
Beeswax (Cera flava), *Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), *First Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Olea europaea), * Sweet Almond Oil (Prunus amygdalus dulcis), *Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Shea Butter Sustainable (Butyrospermum parkii), *Coriander (Coriandrum sativum), *Arrowroot (Maranta arundinacea), *Tapioca (Cassava derived), *Olive Leaf (Oleae europaea), *Kelp (Laminaria digitata), *Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), and Herbalix™ Organic Preservative.

AIDA (marketing)

AIDA (marketing)

AIDA is an acronym used in marketing and advertising that describes a common list of events that may occur when a consumer engages with an advertisement.

  • A – Attention (Awareness): attract the attention of the customer.
  • I – Interest: raise customer interest by focusing on and demonstrating advantages and benefits (instead of focusing on features, as in traditional advertising).
  • D – Desire: convince customers that they want and desire the product or service and that it will satisfy their needs.
  • A – Action: lead customers towards taking action and/or purchasing.

Using a system like this gives one a general understanding of how to target a market effectively. Moving from step to step, one loses some percent of prospects.

AIDA is a historical model, rather than representing current thinking in the methods of advertising effectiveness.

The term and approach are commonly attributed to American advertising and sales pioneer, E. St. Elmo Lewis. In one of his publications on advertising, Lewis postulated at least three principles to which an advertisement should conform:

The mission of an advertisement is to attract a reader, so that he will look at the advertisement and start to read it; then to interest him, so that he will continue to read it; then to convince him, so that when he has read it he will believe it. If an advertisement contains these three qualities of success, it is a successful advertisement

New Developments[edit]

Later versions of the theory have edited the AIDA steps.[9] New phases such as satisfaction (AIDAS)[10] and confidence (AIDCAS)[11] have been added.

  • S – Satisfaction – satisfy the customer so they become a repeat customer and give referrals to a product.

One significant modification of the model was its reduction to three steps (CAB):[12]

  • Cognition (Awareness or learning)
  • Affect (Feeling, interest or desire)
  • Behavior (Action).

Along with these developments came a more flexible view of the order in which the steps are taken, suggesting that different arrangements of the model might prove more effective for different consumer-to-product relationships.

Additionally, as experts have examined this theory more defined practices and theories have been developed including the T.I.R.E.A. scale that focuses on breaking down the decision making process into more defined components. Each step focuses on a progressive journey through the decision making process.

  • T – Thought
  • I – Interest (Desire)
  • R – Risk (Evaluation)
  • E – Engagement
  • A – Action

The Thought portion of the decision making process can occur randomly and be stimulated by a variety of stimuli but generates little of no attention by an individual. It simply creates an awareness of something but generate little or no interest. Similar to seeing food after one has become full after a meal… one may be aware of the food that is there but there is little need or interest in obtaining it.

Interest occurs when one wants or needs something – hunger is an example. The level of interest (or desire) increases as hunger and or the wants and desires increase.

Risk and its evaluation occur as interest increases. One may desire steak but withhold obtaining it due to cost, or other reasons (such as health related issues, etc.)

Engagement – An emotional response when Interest and Desires exceed Risks.

Action – A physical response to obtain what one wants and desires and is willing to assume the risks and/or costs in obtaining it.

REAN Another similar model REAN was also developed in 2006 to more specifically cater for the customer lifecycle. REAN is a marketing acronym that stands for;

  • R – Reach – the set of activities needed to raise prospects’ attention for your brand, product or service
  • E – Engage – the gradual, typically multi-channel, often recursive set of activities needed to engage the prospects you just won
  • A – Activate – the activities needed for your prospects to take, eventually, the actions you wanted them to take
  • N – Nurture – the activities needed to nurture the customer relationship you just managed to create

BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE How to be awesome at life.

Wow. One of the best blogs on the net with advice for life and career I have ever seen.

Dear All I recommend you to read the blog and start applying the advice for a better life.

It is like having advice from Dale Carnagie 3 in 1. 24/7.

Improve Your Life: What 10 Things Should You Do Every Day To Improve Your Life?

10 things that scientific research shows can help improve your life.

1) Get out in nature

You probably seriously underestimate how important this is. (Actually, there’sresearch that says you do.) Being in nature reduces stress, makes you morecreative, improves your memory and may even make you a better person.

2) Exercise

We all know how important this is, but few people do it consistently. Other than health benefits too numerous to mention, exercise makes you smarterhappier, improves sleepincreases libido and makes you feel better about your body. A Harvard study that has tracked a group of men for more than 70 years identified it as one of the secrets to a good life.

3) Spend time with friends and family

Harvard happiness expert Daniel Gilbert identified this as one of the biggest sources of happiness in our lives. Relationships are worth more than you think (approximately an extra $131,232 a year.) Not feeling socially connected can make you stupider and kill you. Loneliness can lead to heart attack, stroke and diabetes. The longest lived people on the planet all place a strong emphasis on social engagement and good relationships are more important to a long life than even exerciseFriends are key to improving your lifeShare good news and enthusiatically respond when others share good news with you to improve your relationships. Want to instantly be happier? Do something kind for them.

4) Express gratitude

It will make you happier.

It will improve your relationships.

It can make you a better person.

It can make life better for everyone around you.

5) Meditate

Meditation can increase happinessmeaning in life, social support and attention span while reducing anger, anxiety, depression and fatigue. Along similar lines, prayer can make you feel better — even if you’re not religious.

6) Get enough sleep

You can’t cheat yourself on sleep and not have it affect you. Being tired actually makes it harder to be happy. Lack of sleep = more likely to get sick. “Sleeping on it” does improve decision making. Lack of sleep can make you more likely to behave unethically. There is such a thing as beauty sleep.

Naps are great too. Naps increase alertness and performance on the job, enhance learning ability and purge negative emotions while enhancing positive ones. Here’s how to improve your naps.

7) Challenge yourself

Learning another language can keep your mind sharp. Music lessons increase intelligence. Challenging your beliefs strengthens your mind. Increasing willpower just takes a little effort each day and it’s more responsible for your success than IQ. Not getting an education or taking advantage of opportunities are two of the things people look back on their lives and regret the most.

8) Laugh

People who use humor to cope with stress have better immune systems, reduced risk of heart attack and stroke, experience less pain during dental work and live longer. Laughter should be like a daily vitamin. Just reminiscing about funny moments can improve your relationship. Humor has many benefits.

9) Touch someone

Touching can reduce stress, improve team performance, and help you be persuasive. Hugs make you happier. Sex may help prevent heart attacks andcancer, improve your immune system and extend your life.

10) Be optimistic

Optimism can make you healthierhappier and extend your life. The Army teaches it in order to increase mental toughness in soldiers. Being overconfidentimproves performance.
